An incredible weekend, spent around incredibly talented, and wonderful humans. This year's comic con, was all about artists supporting each other, sad shows, laughter and a whole bunch of morbid humor.

DO MOUNTAINS CRY WHEN THEY EXPERIENCE THE SUNRISE TOO?

Al Ain, UAE - Jebel Hafeet - 2016

For 10 days, I conducted workshops in Al Ain. Although considered part of Abu Dhabi, it had completely different streets' logic, vibes and even phone code. I don't get it, but I'm glad it exists.

We woke up around 4 am to get ready, went to the gas station to get some snacks and the clerk asked us if we were going to Oman. 'I WISH', I blurted. Watching the sunset itself is a magical experience, but there's something soul crushing and healing at the same time when you get to watch it from a mountain. Seeing people in the very tiny cars, as tiny as a sesame seed going to work or school. 

We drove back to the hotel, with leftover snacks and the sniffles to nap before working again.

SHARJAH MUSEUM OF ISLAMIC CIVILIZATION

Sharjah, UAE - 2016

My love for Sharjah is no secret, but visiting this museum made me love this city even more. It covers everything about the Islamic Civilization in a non-biased way. From inventions, to architecture, fashion, weaponry, to advances in medicine and agriculture, and so much more. 

It's brilliantly organized, and everything is so neat and informative. This wonderful museum is a must visit when you're in Sharjah. One area you better not miss is 'The Dome'. I was so overwhelmed in the best of ways, and could stay there forever.

ANTIQUES MUSEUM

Dubai, UAE - 2016

One of the coolest places I've ever been to. Dina took us to the 'Antiques Museum' in Dubai. It's a ridiculously huge warehouse in Al Qouz. Going through the entire place we had someone with us so we don't get lost because it's designed like a maze. There's everything from furniture, items from around the world, and they do custom work (pins, shirts, caps etc).
